- Day 1 Sights and Sounds Of Vientiane

Arrival at airport, meet and transfer to hotel. We enjoy sightseeing at Vientiane, the capital of Laos: the most important temples of Wat That Luang, Wat Pha Kaew, Wat Si Muang and Wat Si Saket, as well as the Patuxai Monument.

- Day 2 Vientiane - Luang Prabang           

Transfer to airport for flight to the historic city of Luang Prabang. We explore some of the important wats, including watermelon-shaped Wat Wisunlat, Wat Aham and Wat Saen, and take in the views from Phousi Hill for sunset.                

- Day 3 Pak Ou Caves     

After breakfast at hotel, we visit the elegant temple of Wat Xieng Thon. Then, we take a boat cruise on the Mekong River to the holy caves of Pak Ou. We also discover some traditional villages producing the local liquor Lao Lao, weaving cotton and silk and making paper.         

- Day 4 Luang Prabang to Phonsavan      

In the morning, we visit the royal palace museum before transfer to airport for flight east to the city of Phonsavan. We explore Phonsavan in the afternoon.    

- Day 5 The Plain of Jars                

Today, we enjoy trip to the Plain of Jars to explore these curious jars. We continue to visit the former provincial capital of Muang Khun, with its partial ruin temples. We transfer to airport for fly south to the capital of Laos.     

- Day 6 Vientiane - Hanoi             

In the morning, we fly to Hanoi. In the afternoon, we have sightseeing of Hanoi’s highlights, such as the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. In the evening we enjoy a unique water puppet show.   

- Day 7 Hanoi - Halong Bay           

This morning, we drive east to majestic Halong Bay, one of nature’s wonders of the world. We enjoy cruise around the bay, exploring beaches and caves. Overnight in Halong City.

- Day 8 Highlights of Hanoi           

We return to Hanoi and enjoy tour of Hanoi’s highlights, such as the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and some classic French architecture. In the evening we board the Re-unification Express south to the city of Hue.        

- Day 9 Classic Hue          

After meeting with our guide, we check into the hotel. Then, we enjoy a boat cruise on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda. We continue to visit the tomb of Emperor Ming Mang. Afternoon, we visit the citadel, enclosing the old Imperial Palace and Forbidden Purple City.           

- Day 10 Hue - Hoi An     

After leaving Hue, we pause at Lang Co lagoon on the way to Danang. We also visit the impressive Cham Museum and the charming town of Hoi An, where we enjoy trip to the historic pagodas, houses and bridges.       

- Day 11 Hoi An

Day at leisure to explore one of the most charming towns in all of Vietnam. We can soak up the atmosphere of the streets and the city.      

- Day 12 Hoi An - Nha Trang        

We head south to the coastal city Nha Trang, stopping to visit several Cham towers along the way, as well as some attractive beach towns along the way.  

- Day 13 Cruising the Islands Around Nha Trang

We take a boat trip to the islands of the coast of Nha Trang. We have a fresh seafood lunch aboard the boat.    

- Day 14 Nha Trang - Dalat           

We leave Nha Trang for the hill station of Dalat in central Vietnam. We follow the coast south to Phan Rang, before climbing into the mountains. In the afternoon, we visit sites of Dalat.      

- Day 15 Dalat - Saigon   

Today we drive south to the big city of Saigon, viewing active rubber plantations and impressive mountain scenery. Late afternoon, we arrive in Saigon and check in to the hotel.              

- Day 16 Sights and Sounds of Saigon      

We enjoy a city tour, which includes the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, and some of the best examples of French architecture around the city such as the post office and city hall. We visit China Town and some of the most popular markets in the city.        

- Day 17 Cao Dai Temple and the Cu Chi Tunnels               

We have a tour to the Cao Dai temple at Tay Ninh and take part in a morning service for this unique religion. In the afternoon, we drive to underground at the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible complex of passages dug by the Vietnamese during the War between American and Vietnamese. We return to Saigon.          

- Day 18 Saigon to Phnom Penh                

We transfer to airport for flight to Phnom Penh. We visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, the National Museum and the popular Russian and central markets.    

- Day 19 Sights Around Phnom Penh      

In the morning, we visit the gruesome genocide museum of Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields memorial before viewing Wat Phnom, symbol of the city. Then, we fly to Siem Reap. Welcome and meet our guide and transfer to the hotel.                

- Day 20 Angkor Wat and the Small Circuit            

In the morning, we visit the highlights of the petit circuit, including Prasat Kravan, the royal bathing pond of Sra Srang, Banteay Kdei, Takeo and jungle-clad Ta Prohm. In the afternoon, we visit magnificent Angkor Wat, to view its architecture and bas reliefs  

- Day 21 Banteay Srei and Kbal Spean     

Today we visit the riverbed carvings of Kbal Spean and the elegant temple of Banteay Srei Then, we continue to Banteay Samre. Return to the hotel.       

- Day 22 The Bayon and Angkor Thom    

In the morning we visit the highlights of Angkor Thom, such as Victory Gate, the Bayon, Baphuon, Phimean Akas, the Terraces of the Elephants and the Leper King. Afternoon, we visit Les Artisans D’Angkor, a workshop to redevelop traditional Cambodian artisan skills and local markets. We transfer to the airport for onward flight.
