Taste of Indochina 18 days / 17 nights

- Day 1 Sights and Sounds Of Vientiane

Arrival at airport, meet and transfer to hotel. We enjoy sightseeing at Vientiane, the capital of Laos: the most important temples of Wat That Luang, Wat Pha Kaew, Wat Si Muang and Wat Si Saket, as well as the Patuxai Monument.

- Day 2 Vientiane - Luang Prabang           

Transfer to airport for flight to the historic city of Luang Prabang. We explore some of the important wats, including watermelon-shaped Wat Wisunlat, Wat Aham and Wat Saen, and take in the views from Phousi Hill for sunset.                

- Day 3 Pak Ou Caves     

After breakfast at hotel, we visit the elegant temple of Wat Xieng Thon. Then, we take a boat cruise on the Mekong River to the holy caves of Pak Ou. We also discover some traditional villages producing the local liquor Lao Lao, weaving cotton and silk and making paper.         

- Day 4 Luang Prabang - Vientiane - Hanoi            

In the morning, we transfer to airport for flight to Vientiane and connect to Hanoi, capital of Vietnam. In the late afternoon, we explore Hanoi’s bustling Old Quarter. In the evening, we enjoy a unique water puppet show.            

- Day 5 Hanoi to Halong Bay        

This morning, we head east to majestic Halong Bay, one of nature’s wonders of the world. We enjoy a boat cruise around the bay, exploring caves and beaches. Overnight on board.        

- Day 6 Highlights of Hanoi           

We return to Hanoi and enjoy tour of Hanoi’s highlights, such as the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and some classic French architecture. In the evening we board the Re-unification Express south to the city of Hue.        

- Day 7 Classic Hue          

After meeting with our guide, we check into the hotel. Then, we enjoy a boat cruise on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda. We continue to visit the tomb of Emperor Ming Mang. Afternoon, we visit the citadel, enclosing.           

- Day 8 Hue - Hoi An       

After leaving Hue, we pause at Lang Co lagoon on the way to Danang. We also visit the impressive Cham Museum and the charming town of Hoi An, where we enjoy trip to the historic pagodas, houses and bridges.       

- Day 9 Hoi An   

Day at leisure to explore one of the most charming towns in all of Vietnam. We can soak up the atmosphere of the streets and the city.      

- Day 10 Hoi An to Saigon             

After breakfast, we drive to the airport for the flight to Saigon. We have sightseeing in the city, including Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, and some of the best examples of French architecture in the city.                

- Day 11 Cao Dai Temple and the Cu Chi Tunnels               

We have a tour to the Cao Dai temple at Tay Ninh and take part in a morning service for this unique religion. In the afternoon, we drive to underground at the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible complex of passages dug by the Vietnamese during the War between American and Vietnamese. We return to Saigon.          

- Day 12 Saigon - Phnom Penh   

We transfer to airport for flight to Phnom Penh. We visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, the National Museum, Wat Phnom, symbol of the city and the popular Russian and central markets.              

- Day 13 Phnom Penh to Kratie

We head to Kratie by 4 wheel drive and transfer to the hotel. After lunch, we take a small boat to view Cambodia’s freshwater dolpins inhabiting the river here and enjoy sunset from Sombok Hill. Accommodation at hotel in Kratie.        

- Day 14 Kratie to Kompong Cham and Kompong Thom

We travel by car to Kompong Cham and visit the Angkorian temple of Wat Nokor and the hills of local legends, Phnom Pros and Phnom Srey, before returning to Kompong Thom. Overnight in Kompong Thom.     

- Day 15 Kompong Thom to Siem Reap  

In the morning, we visit Sambo Prei Kuk, pre-Angkorian temple. One the way, we stop at Kompong Kdei Bridge, Angkorian period bridge. We continue to Siem Reap where is Angkor’s town.         

- Day 16 Angkor Wat and the Small Circuit            

In the morning, we visit the highlights of the petit circuit, including Prasat Kravan, the royal bathing pond of Sra Srang, Banteay Kdei, Takeo and jungle-clad Ta Prohm. In the afternoon, we visit magnificent Angkor Wat, to view its architecture and bas reliefs  

- Day 17 Banteay Srei and Kbal Spean     

Today we visit the riverbed carvings of Kbal Spean and the elegant temple of Banteay Srei Then, we continue to Banteay Samre. Return to the hotel.       

- Day 18 The Bayon and Angkor Thom    

In the morning we visit the highlights of Angkor Thom, such as Victory Gate, the Bayon, Baphuon, Phimean Akas, the Terraces of the Elephants and the Leper King. Afternoon, we visit Les Artisans D’Angkor, a workshop to redevelop traditional Cambodian artisan skills and local markets. We transfer to the airport for onward flight.
